About the portrait

June 13, 2010

About the  portrait of me that is used in the masthead of this site…

I was asked to pose at a portrait class at Gallery 53 in Connecticut and one of the artists there, Carol Reeves, now somewhat notoriously produced this painting in one 2-hour sitting.  (Notorious because Carol makes everything look so easy, which is, of course, what gifted people do.)

I’ve been itching to use the portrait somewhere since it covers a multitude of sins and yet is most definitely me.  Carol’s gifts are vast and I think you will love her work.

Just discovered your books.. Love the Sally Harrington character and all the complicated people who surround her story! .. Thanks so much for having these stories within you. I get much pleasure reading your books and have even discovered the kindle.
